Paclobutrazol Inhibits Growth of Woody Landscape Plants
Paclobutrazol, applied as a spray or drench, suppressed growth of 8 woody landscape species. Magnitude of growth inhibition was directly correlated with application rate, whereas both magnitude and duration of growth inhibition was influenced by application method. Generally, paclobutrazol when applied as a drench suppressed growth to a greater degree than did spray applications. Flowering or fruiting of 3 species was generally promoted with paclobutrazol, while phytotoxicity symptoms were observed on 4 species.Abstract
